(Computer Science) video graphics array; a computing standard that has a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels with 16 colours or of 320 × 200 pixels with 256 colours. SVGA (super VGA) is a later version with higher spatial and colour resolution, esp 800 × 600 pixels with 256 colours
