Baltic Sea

An arm of the Atlantic Ocean in northern Europe bounded by Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Germany. It is mostly shallow, with relatively low salinity, and opens to the North Sea via channels and canals.
