The Prophet (sa) said: "Every child is born with a true faith of Islam (that is, to worship none but Allah Alone) and his parents convert him to Judaism or Christianity or Magianism. This is just as an animal delivers a perfect baby animal.
He was also critical of Baha'ism and Qadianism which were "the two forms which the modern revival of pre- Islamic Magianism has assumed."69 He approved of devotional Sufism which in his opinion alone tried to understand the importance of inner experience as a source of knowledge.70 According to RaHman, the Mu'tazilah had been described as the Magians of the Muslim community for their belief in the freedom of the will.
