Except for the individuals of the genera Manucodia and Macgregoria, which are monogamous and do not show sexual dimorphism, all the birds of paradise (Astrapia, Diphyllodes, Parotia, Lophorina and especially Paradisea) are polygamous with pronounced differences between males and females.
