 (mī′ər, mā-ēr′), Golda Originally Goldie Mabovitch. 1898-1978.
Russian-born Israeli politician. After living in the United States (1906-1921), she moved to Palestine and later served as minister of labor (1949-1956), foreign minister (1956-1966), and prime minister (1969-1974) of Israel.
