The main products of Ningxia Wolfberry are fruit leaf pollen and flower.
A summary of the nutritional contents of the Ningxia wolfberry tissues is presented in Table-1.
In general the macronutrient levels (protein fat carbohydrate ash and moisture) in the fruit of Ningxia wolfberry were similar to those of earlier reports [13 14].
As shown in Table-2 the proteins in the Ningxia wolfberry tissue were rich in glutamic acid and aspartic acid (1.27-2.88 and 1.76-2.30 g/100 g respectively).
In the present study only the fatty acid compositions of the Ningxia wolfberry fruit and pollen were evaluated due to the low contents of fat in the Ningxia wolfberry flower and leaf (Table-1).
Our results are consistent with the reported results that the oil of the Ningxia wolfberry fruit contains high levels of oleic and linoleic acids [21].
The mineral constituents in the different tissues of Ningxia wolfberry are listed in Table-4.
