Plateau pika (Ochotona curzoniae) is a species of small mammals in the Ochotonidae. According to the studies [1-4], it is found that the plateau pika's burrows are the primary homes to a wide variety of small birds and lizards since Qinghai-Tibet area owns the treeless environment and also minimize soil erosion for the suitable number of plateau pikas, enhance the ability of soil to absorb precipitation, contribute to nutrient cycling, and create microhabitats resulting in increased plant species richness; it serves as the main prey for most of the predatory animals on the plateau.
