Odd-row monitor

A two-row lister cultivator designed so the horses walked between adjacent rows, but there was a row between the two rows being plowed. The every-other-row feature, combined with the name Monitor Drill Company (one of the manufacturers) gave rise to the name of “odd-row monitor.”
