Olympic Peninsula
A rugged peninsula of northwest Washington bounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Puget Sound. The Olympic Mountains, rising to 2,429 m (7,969 ft), occupy much of the peninsula and are surrounded by glaciers and rainforest.
