Pas·ca·gou·la

 (păs′kə-go͞o′lə)
A city of southeast Mississippi on the Gulf of Mexico. A major shipbuilding center, it was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The city is located at the mouth of the Pascagoula River, formed about 130 km (80 mi) north by the confluence of the Leaf and Chickasawhay Rivers.
