Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), also termed as "Polyvidone" or "Povidone", is a water-soluble polymer produced from the monomer N-vinylpyrrolidone.
To minimize the risk of contamination, the tissue was immersed in 1% iodine polyvidone (Betaisodona[R]) in PBS for 3 min and was afterwards rinsed three times in PBS.
