A large marine food and game fish (Coryphaena equiselis) found worldwide in tropical and subtropical waters, which is smaller but similar in appearance to the common dolphinfish (C. hippurus), having a steep blunt forehead and a long continuous dorsal fin. Also called dolphin, dolphinfish, pompano dolphin.
