In The Life of the Sophists, Philostratus remembers three epideictic speeches (demonstrative) delivered by Gorgias: a pythic discourse delivered in Delphi on the occasion of the Pythics Games; a diplomatic speech delivered on the occasion of a stop at Olympics, where he stated that the Greeks should be united, giving up the fratricidal fights in order to strength their forces especially against the Persians; an obituary for those who sacrificed themselves for their country (he did not deliver this speech because, being a foreigner, he did not have that right).
