Selected organic and inorganic sulphur compounds: hydrate of iron(III)sulphate(VI) [Fe.sub.2][(S[O.sub.4]).sub.3] x n[H.sub.2]O, pyrite Fe[S.sub.2], ferric sulphide FeS, diphenyl sulphide [C.sub.6][H.sub.4]S[C.sub.6][H.sub.4], thionaphthene [C.sub.8][H.sub.6]S elemental sulphur S were introduced in the amount of 1 g to both coal blends in series of laboratory coking experiments.
For the MK1 coal blend, chlorine enriched, addition of thionaphthene caused decrease of chlorine content in coke at as much as 21.7%, and addition of diphenyl sulphide--at 15.2%.
