top-level domain

The final portion of a Uniform Resource Locator (URL), commonly known as a website address. Top-level domains include country code top-level domains (ccTLDs), for example “.uk” (United Kingdom), and “.jp” (Japan), as well as international suffixes such as “.com” and “.net.”
