After the age of 6 months, radiographs are the best modality in evaluation of DDH, and can be used to evaluate the acetabular angle, or the angle between Hilgenreiner's line (horizontal line connecting the triradiate
cartilages) and a line drawn along the acetabular roof (Figure 4).
Each ilium is a triradiate
bone with three rami disposed in the same plane.
To measure MI, one must draw a line through the triradiate
cartilages (Hilgenreiner's line) and a vertical line (Perkin's line) at the outer margin of the acetabulum and perpendicular to the Hilgenreiner's line.
Caption: Figure 8: Widened pubic symphysis, bilateral coxa vara, and widened triradiate
cartilage and sacroiliac joints can be seen in the pelvic radiographs (6.5 years).
Both lids had ecchymoses and oedema with a lower lid triradiate
[0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 cm] Contused Lacerated Wound (CLW) and a partial thickness tear of the temporal palpebral conjunctiva.
Due to the demineralization of bones, deformities such as triradiate
pelvis, lordosis, and/or genu valgus or varus may develop.
On the posterior face of the proximal end, there is a pronounced proximodistal crest posterior to the deltopectoral crest, conferring a triradiate
outline to the cross-section of the proximal end.
Complete colonoscopy was defined as visualization and intubation of the caecum, confirmed by identification of the ileocecal valve and triradiate
Proximal side bears a small triradiate
mark with rays upto 12m long.
The CT scan showed a vertically displaced fracture involving the iliac blade starting 3 cm below the iliac crest and extending forward, reaching up to the acetabular roof and triradiate
cartilage, involving both the anterior and posterior columns.
Diagnosis and management of developmental dysplasia of the hip from triradiate
closure through young adulthood.
