In the Slavonic manuscript Scazanie o Draculea voevode / Tale about voievode Dracula, Vlad Tepes was referred to as the third son of "Dracula" (Andreescu 1976: 152; Stavarus 1978: 40-49; Stoian 1989: 24-40); in fact, Vlad II was the only member of the House of Draculesti (1436-1600) to be mentioned by this name in the 15th and 16th centuries chronicles and documents.
