For a time she was based in the hipster heartland of Brooklyn, and most recently, Provincetown, that LGBTQ oasis on Cape Cod where, as executive chef of Central House at The Crown & Anchor, she turned out delicious classic plates for three years-think freshly-shucked local Wellfleet oysters, baked lobster mac 'n' cheese, grilled rib eye, and on Thursday nights, an Italian dinner featuring her signature linguine and clams with garlic, shallots, chilies, clams, white wine, butter and herbs.
Both are noticeably different from Cotuit, Duxbury, Chilmark, or Wellfleet oysters. An oyster party offering samples of them all -- from various degrees of briny to sweet and creamy -- is a raw bar lover's dream.
The dinner menu will begin with a "blend of Cotuit and Wellfleet oysters done in three exceptional preparations,'' followed by lobster thermidor, a New England presentation of Bandera quail and Chickering Farms veal roast.

Besides Virginia, there were Wellfleet oysters (six for $12), Oysters Rockefeller ($12) with a sauce concocted of spinach, onion, garlic, cream, toasty panko and a hint of sambuca.
Wellfleet has traditionally been a shellfish town (you've heard of Wellfleet oysters).
