Troubadours

Troubadours were members of a class of poet-musicians that flourished in southern France and northern Spain and Italy from the 11th to the 13th century. Burbank moved from his native Massachusetts to Santa Rosa, California, in 1875 and spent the rest of his life there experimenting with new varieties of fruits, flowers, and vegetables.
