 (bo͞o-kär′ĭn, -KHär′-), Nikolai Ivanovich 1888-1938.
Bolshevik revolutionary and Soviet politician who advocated gradual agricultural collectivization. He was executed for treason after the last of the Moscow "show trials" of the 1930s.
