There, accompanied by the Earl of Peterborough, he transferred with his 'camerades' and twelve of his 'gentilshommes domestiques' to a vessel referred to by the Prince's equerry as the royal brigantine, which he describes as 'fort dore et fort belle'.
Saluted by the Leader of a Troop of Horsemen (National Gallery, London), dated 1662, and thus almost certainly slightly later than the Beloeil work, includes a saluting horse which is an almost exact repetition of the prancing steed of one of the Prince de Ligne's "camerades' in the London view, while in both pictures the treatment of the central coach and its occupants is remarkably similar.
