Dissection and light microscopy: the embryos and fetuses were weighed on scales and measured with a precision Mitotoyo[R]
pachymeter (Table I).
In addition, central corneal thickness measurements by ultrasonic
pachymeter, visual field examinations with Humphrey automated perimeter (Humphrey Field Analyzer; SITA Standard 24-2 strategy, model 750i; Zeiss-Humphrey Instruments, Dublin, CA), gonioscopic examination by Goldmann 3-mirror lens in cooperative patients, and retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) analysis by spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (Spectralis OCT; Heidelberg Engineering, Heidelberg, Germany) were also done for the diagnosis of glaucoma.
Mean outcome measures were intraocular pressure by Goldmann applanation tonometry, CCT measurement using ultrasound
pachymeter and peripapillary RNFL thickness measured by spectral-domain optical coherence tomography.
Each captured animal was banded with an aluminum ring, weighed and measured (beak size, wing, tail) with
pachymeter or ruler.
Lesions were measured using a
pachymeter, and clinical staging was performed according to the World Health Organization classification (BERGMAN, 2007): category "T" corresponded to the size of the primary neoplasia, "N" to the presence of the involvement of the lymph nodes, and "M" to the presence of distant metastases (Table 1).
Cut fresh leaves were measured using a
pachymeter. Fragments measured about 78.9 [+ or -] 22.6 [mm.sup.2].
After topical anesthesia with oxybuprocaine 20 mg/80 mg solution (Alcon, United States), we used
Pachymeter SP3000 (TOMEY, Japan) to measure the central corneal thickness (CCT), the midperipheral corneal thickness (MCT), and the peripheral corneal thickness (PCT).
They concluded that because of high agreement between these devices, the GSA being a non-contact method may be an alternative to US
pachymeter for measurement of CCT.
* central corneal thickness (CCT) measurement by ultrasound pachymetry using Echographe
pachymeter, model Pocket II, Quantal medica; and
The fruit length (FL), width (FW), and thickness (FT) were assessed using a digital
pachymeter (Starret 799).
