Caloosahatchee River

 (kə-lo͞o′sə-hăch′ē)
A river of southern Florida, about 120 km (75 mi) long, flowing west from south-central Florida to the Gulf of Mexico. It is connected to Lake Okeechobee by a canal and forms the western part of a cross-state waterway.
