5. Based on or motivated by self-serving interests, especially in attempting to gain power or to please people of a higher rank in an organization: political maneuvering within the company.
6. Indicating national or regional boundaries. Used of maps.

POLITICALLY CORRECT
Se dice que una persona o su comportamiento es politically correct o PC cuando sus actitudes o palabras no reflejan ningún desprecio o insulto hacia grupos minoritarios o con algún tipo de desventaja física o social, tales como disminuidos físicos o psíquicos, minorías étnicas, homosexuales, mujeres, etc. Los que propugnan el uso de este tipo de lenguaje y actitud políticamente correctos creen que con ello desafían los valores que la sociedad occidental ha tratado de imponer sobre el resto del mundo a lo largo de la historia. Sin embargo, el término politically correct se emplea también de forma irónica por las personas que se burlan de este tipo de lenguaje y actitudes por considerarlas excesivas. Entre las expresiones políticamente correctas, algunas de las más conocidas son: Native American en vez de Red Indian (indio americano), visually impaired en vez de blind (ciego) y vertically challenged en vez de short (bajo).
