The collected data (duration of all fixations) were processed in the SMI BeGaze
software and further analysed using repeated measures ANOVA.
The fixation time and fixation count data were obtained using Begaze (iView software).
Every participant's answers and the completion times for every single question were recorded by the facilitator, and learners' eye movements were recorded by the eye tracker (SMI iView XTM HED) and the associated software (Begaze), which was utilized to build AOI.
SMI's Automated Semantic Gaze Mapping technology (ASGM) automatically maps data from mobile eye tracking videos created with SMI's Eye Tracking Glasses, so that they can be quantitatively analyzed with SMI's analysis Software Suite BeGaze
All fixations on areas of interest (i.e., concepts on the map) were detected using the SMI BeGaze
default dispersion-based algorithm (set to 100 pixels and minimum duration of 80 msecs).
For the data analysis BeGaze
eye-tracking analysis software was used.
