also bun·ya·bun·ya  (bŭn′yə-bŭn′yə)
An Australian evergreen coniferous tree (Araucaria bidwillii) having tiers of whorled branches, sharp-pointed leaves, and large cones containing edible seeds. Also called bunya pine.
