Even so, the likelihood now is that she will be overshadowed by her older sister Calamanco.
Calamanco's eighth foal, Corrybrough, promises to be a leader in the sprint division next year if he maintains the level of improvement that saw him run fourth in the rescheduled Sprint Cup at Doncaster in September.
EIGHTEEN-YEAR-OLD broodmare Calamanco has enjoyed a fine season this summer thanks to her son Corrybrough, who won at Listed level before finishing fourth in the Group 1 Sprint Cup, and her grandson Amour Propre, winner of last weekend's Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes.
Derrick, a retired bank manager, explains: "In the early 1990s we had a few horses in training with the late Beverley trainer Alf Smith and at the time he trained the Clantime sisters Calamanco and Cape Merino, winner of Redcar's Two-Year-Old Trophy.
"When we eventually got to the sales, the auctioneers told me that Calamanco had been led out of the ring unsold and that I might be able to buy her privately.
"I rang Alf and he said that as ab roodmare he ' dprefer Calamanco as she was a deeperbodied sort.
