One of us (G.P.) recently described a series of the unique
cystadenocarcinoma, an emerging subtype of prostatic carcinoma.
[18] Four histological types of appendiceal mucocele have been described: retention cyst, mucosal hyperplasia, mucinous cystadenoma and mucinous
cystadenocarcinoma. However, adenocarcinomas of the appendix were more often seen in men in the sixth or seventh decades.
Infiltrative intraosseous lipomas in birds should be distinguished from other lytic bone tumors, including giant cell tumors, (14) air sac
cystadenocarcinoma, (15) soft tissue sarcoma, (16) osteoma aneurysmal bone cyst, (18) traumatic bone cyst, (4) and ossifying fibromas, (19) as well as infectious conditions including mycobacteriosis or salmonellosis (20) and metabolic conditions such as nutritional hyperparathyroidism.
Low-grade papillary
cystadenocarcinoma of the parotid gland: presentation of a case with cytological, histopathological, and immunohistochemical features and pertinent literature review.
It was followed by endometrioid adenocarcinoma 20(13.7%), mucinous
cystadenocarcinoma 15(10.3%), granulosa cell tumour 15(10.3%), metastatic tumour 12(8.2%), mixed germ cell tumour 8(5.5%), yolk sac tumour 5(3.4%), mixed surface epithelial tumour 4(2.7%), dysgerminoma 4(2.7%), fibrothecoma 3(2.1%), transitional cell tumour 1(0.7%) and sertoli-stromal cell tumour 1(0.7%).
Herein, we report the first case of an appendiceal mucinous
cystadenocarcinoma with multiple mural nodules comprising anaplastic carcinoma with K-RAS gene mutation status in both components.
(9) However, patients with mucinous
cystadenocarcinoma are usually older, with a mean age of 55-64, possibly reflecting progression from adenoma to carcinoma.
Pleomorphic adenoma, low-grade mucoepidermoid carcinoma, acinic cell carcinoma, myoepithelial carcinoma low-grade cribriform
cystadenocarcinoma, oncocytic carcinoma and salivary duct carcinoma.
Histopathology reported mucinous
cystadenocarcinoma of the ovary.
Surgical management of biliary cystadenoma and
cystadenocarcinoma of the liver.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was suggestive of serous
cystadenocarcinoma of the pancreas.
The four types of pathological findings described in appendiceal mucoceles are (1) mucous hyperplasia, (2) simple mucocele, (3) cystadenoma, and (4)
cystadenocarcinoma [9].
