To efficiently test a range of fluorinations levels a few of the environmental challenges were selected and a statistical design of experiments was formulated based on the equivalent weights.
This study will show the sensitivity of level of fluorination on several physical properties of a family of UV-curable fluoro-silicone coatings, including adhesion, solvent absorption, stiffness, and thermal oxidative stability.
A difunctional cycloaliphatic epoxy PC1035 was combined with three mono and difunctional alcohols with varying levels of fluorination according to the experimental design matrix shown in Table 1.
More specifically, we will consider those processes shown in Figure 4 which result in isoquinoline ring fluorinations, di- and trifluoromethylations, fluoroarylations, and trifluoromethylarylations.
In addition, several selective fluorination and trifluoromethylation reactions, done in concert with transition metal catalysts, are shown that produce polyfunctional isoquinolines with a high degree of fluorination and trifluoromethylation site regiocontrol.
