A force acting on a body as a result of acceleration or gravity, informally described in units of gees.
(General Physics) the force of gravity
The acceleration of a body in or as if it were in Earth's gravitational field, expressed in multiples of the force of gravity on Earth (equal to 1 G). The force of gravity on Jupiter, for example, is 2.5 Gs. Other forces of acceleration, such as those exerted on jet pilots making sharp turns, are also expressed in Gs.
