Wahoo are the largest non-tuna in the mackerel family, and are the lone species in the genus Acanthocybium. They grow extremely fast and are able to spawn within two years (males at about 34 inches, females about 40 inches), and a large female can broadcast some 60-million eggs each spawning event.
