A number of fluorinated analogues were conceived: cholic acid derivatives of which the 3, 7, and 12 OH functions were replaced with a fluorine atom, a 3[beta]-fluorine labeled chenodeoxycholic acid, and 3[beta]-fluorine labeled glycocholic acid. These compounds were evaluated on their radiosynthesis characteristics, in vitro and in vivo hepatobiliary transport in wild-type mice.
applied metabolomics approach to study the influence of Radix Paeoniae Alba and Radix Paeoniae Rubra on the metabolic changes in rats with acute liver injury and identified several potential biomarkers including creatine, deoxycholic acid, choline, 5methylenetetrahydrofolate, folic acid, and glycocholic acid [13].
