The latest decision of the US administration to prevent Pakistan from partaking in the International Military Education and Training
Programme (IMET) is under intense discussion in both print and electronic media in Pakistan.

"The effective suspension of Pakistan from the US government's International Military Education and Training

The International Military Education and Training
(IMET) program is authorized under the Foreign Assistance Act (FAA), appropriated through the foreign operations bill, with country allocations authorized by the Department of State (DoS) and managed by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).
