lung cancer
Tobacco smoking is the main cause of lung cancer. Tiny, hairlike cilia line the respiratory tract and help protect the lungs from chemicals. Smoking eventually destroys their ability to do this. It is the chemicals present in the smoke, however, that cause cancer.
