Changes in the neuromagnetic field are a direct and instantaneous reflection of neural events in the brain.
The neuromagnetic field (approximately 10 to [10.sup.3] fT) is several orders of magnitude weaker than the ambient magnetic noise (approximately [10.sup.8] fT), which includes the earth magnetic field.
The raw spontaneous neuromagnetic fields
