(ôr′nə-thĭs′kē-ən) One of the two main types of dinosaurs. Ornithischians have a pelvis similar to that of modern birds, and include all the plant-eating dinosaurs except the sauropods. They include armor-plated, horned, and duck-billed varieties. Compare saurischian.
