The airline staff members were caring and friendly, making the three and a half hour flight to Trabzon comfortable.
Muscat: More than 11,500 passengers have used SalamAir's services to Trabzon and Istanbul since its launch in July this year, the airline announced on Wednesday.
The airline will operate direct flights from Riyadh to Batumi, Tbilisi, Vienna, Baku, Trabzon, and Sarajevo.
Current routes include Muscat, Salalah, Suhar, Dubai, Doha, Jeddah, Karachi, Multan, Sialkot, Shiraz, Kathmandu, Khartoum, Dhaka, Alexandria, Riyadh, Kuwait, and Abu-Dhabi, in addition, to the recently launched destinations Tehran, Istanbul and Trabzon. Emirates said: "The flight landed uneventfully in Trabzon and passengers and crew were safely disembarked.
"A recovery flight has in the meantime been launched from Dubai to Trabzon, which will fly all passengers onwards to Newcastle as EK35, with a departure in Trabzon at 18:00 local time.
"In respect of the media reports published on 15 August 2016 regarding the building of a $1bn project in Trabzon by Emaar, we would like to clarify that Emaar Properties is currently not building any project in Trabzon city," the statement read.
Sharjah-based Air Arabia launched its inaugural flight to Trabzon as the low cost airline's latest destination in Turkey.
