To help handling there is a wider track, enhanced drive-shafts and rear
anti-roll bar, revised springs and dampers and re-tuned steering, plus a specially-developed version of Ford's electronic stability programme with traction assist.
This includes the Prodrive Performance Pack, which boosts power to 320bhp and includes rally-developed features such as Bilstein dampers, a sports spring kit with revised rear
anti-roll bar and a ride height lowered by 30mm at the front and 10mm at the rear.
The front
anti-roll bar is modified and the dampers are revised to suport the news spring and
anti-roll bar characteristics.
Springs and dampers are now stiffer at the front and softer in the rear suspension, while the rear
anti-roll bar is reduced in diameter.
It also has a rear
anti-roll bar specially developed in the UK after extensive testing on British roads.
Also, if the car is fitted with an
anti-roll bar, check the bushes between the bar and chassis legs.
A faulty
