The majority of these studies used alprazolam as the benzodiazepine (other benzodiazepines used were adinazolam, bromazepam, chlordiazepoxide, and lorazepam) and imipramine or amitriptyline as the antidepressant comparator (other antidepressants used were desipramine, dothiepin, doxepin, and only one newer antidepressant,
fluvoxamine, in one study).

In head-to-head studies, the most effective antidepressants were agomelatine, amitriptyline, escitalopram, mirtazapine, paroxetine, venlafaxine, and vortioxetine, while the least efficacious were fluoxetine,
fluvoxamine, reboxetine, and trazodone.
The algorithm recommends electroconvulsive therapy if there is inadequate response to clozapine alone or with
fluvoxamine, which sometimes is used to boost clozapine serum level, especially in patients who are heavy smokers.
In the previous study that evaluated antidepressant prescription in general, paroxetine was the most commonly prescribed antidepressant, followed by fluoxetine, trazodone, and

The project was carried out to measure
fluvoxamine maleate drug by using a modified electrode with high sensitivity in biological samples.
After the first session,
fluvoxamine was initiated and titrated to 300 mg daily.
Prior to the availability of dapoxetine, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline,
fluvoxamine and citalopram were used as "offlabel" drugs (used beyond the approved indication) to treat PE.
