The good news about the community-acquired strain is that while resistant to the usual anti-Staph drugs like cephalexin (Keflex) or dicloxacillin (Dynapen, Diclox), it can be cured by some common, older antibiotics.
The oral suspensions involved are Polymox, Trimox, Betapen V/K, Veetids, Principen and Polycillin, Polycillin V/K, Prostaphin, Dynapen and Tegopen.
